Bio
Gordon is an Associate Lawyer at Boardwalk LLP. Gordon’s practice covers the areas of Real Estate, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. Gordon understands the importance of meeting his clients’ needs in each stage of life milestone: from buying a first home, becoming a real estate investor, planning for future health concerns, and leaving a legacy to loved ones.
Gordon is proud to be a second-generation Canadian and credits his parents’ contributions for his work-ethic, and ability to offer services in Vietnamese.
Gordon obtained his J.D. in both Canada and the U.S. He is a graduate of the Dual Canadian and American Juris Doctor program, an exclusive cross-border program offered jointly by the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy. Gordon credits the multi-jurisdictional approach to his studies for his ability to offer holistic, practical advice to his clients. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2014.
Prior to joining Boardwalk LLP, Gordon operated his own practice for 8 years. The focus of his legal career is helping clients buy or sell their home, refinance a mortgage, creating or updating an estate plan (Will, Powers of Attorney), and dealing with the unexpected loss of a loved one.
Outside of the office, Gordon is an avid public speaker. He has been a proud member and club executive for the Glen Abbey Toastmasters club, a public speaking group that fosters the ideals of self-improvement, feedback, and strong communication skills. He has given seminars on the topics of real estate, professionalism, estate planning, and how to navigate life in Canada to various groups including:
- Vietnamese Community Centre of Mississauga (“Resources for Newcomers to Canada”)
- triOS College Law Clerk Program (“How to Process a Real Estate Transaction”)
- The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (“Will You or Won’t You: The Importance of Estate Planning”)
- Royal LePage Oakville & ReMax Mississauga (“Best Practices for a Real Estate Transaction”)
Gordon is also an avid reader, film-buff, and he is obsessed with weightlifting, kung fu, and food. His family benefits from his desire to constantly try out new recipes.
